Kristina Mont, LPC

Kristina Mont is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey, Arizona, and Maine and Nationally Certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors.

Kristina’s specialties include helping teens and adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, mood disorders, substance use, grief, and life changes. Kristina draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness techniques, while always utilizing a dedicated trauma-informed lens.

Kristina earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University. She later completed her master’s in professional counseling from Monmouth University, where she graduated Chi Sigma Iota, Monmouth University’s International Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. She completed her graduate clinical internships with Carrier Clinic’s inpatient adolescent unit, a residential treatment home in Pennsylvania which housed juvenile males with sex offense histories, and the Juvenile Reception and Assessment Center in Bordentown, NJ counseling male inmates.

Her background includes extensive crisis work in inpatient psychiatric units, emergency departments, and crisis stabilization settings, where she helped individuals of all ages navigate mental health crises with compassion and evidence-based care. Early in her career, she earned a Teacher of the Handicapped Certification before working in alternative educational settings teaching adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues.

While residing in Arizona and Maine Kristina provided clinical services at community health centers in rural areas working with underserved populations. It was in this capacity she also worked alongside medical professionals providing integrated care.

She believes healing is most successful when approached from a holistic perspective, blending treatments that promote mental, physical and emotional health. Committed to clinical excellence, Kristina constantly seeks out new learning opportunities and is currently expanding her skills in couples therapy to better serve her clients. Kristina believes that meaningful change happens within a trusting therapeutic relationship. She provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can build on their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and work toward lasting growth and healing. Whether navigating mood symptoms, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, Kristina is committed to helping others move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.
