Angela Olivieri, LSW

Angela Olivieri is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of New Jersey, specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, self-harm, self-esteem, trauma, and stress. She employs evidence-based treatment modalities in her clinical practice, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

Angela earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montclair State University in 1997. She then pursued her master’s degree in social work at Rutgers University, graduating in 2003 with a concentration in children and families.

As a licensed clinician, Angela has worked as a medical social worker at Children’s Specialized Hospital across several departments. In her role as a patient care coordinator on the inpatient unit, she supported families of medically fragile infants and toddlers. She also provided services in the outpatient neurorehabilitation department, assisting patients and their families in connecting with essential community and school resources. Additionally, Angela facilitated a support group for parents of children with traumatic brain injuries.

Before joining the Center for Anxiety and Behavior Management, Angela provided care in various settings, including acute care hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient neurorehabilitation, a clubhouse for adults with traumatic brain injuries, residential facilities for adults with chronic mental illness, and groups for adolescents with eating disorders.

Throughout her clinical career, she has had the privilege of working with individuals, families, couples, and groups.
