Madelyn McGee is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of New Jersey, dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and adults. Her strong passion for mental health has driven her academic and professional journey, where she utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. Madelyn is particularly skilled in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, challenging family dynamics, peer conflicts, school issues, self-esteem, and body image concerns. In her past roles, she has facilitated support and therapy groups for individuals with disordered eating patterns, survivors of domestic violence, and teens affected by a loved one’s chemical dependency.
Madelyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The College of New Jersey, specializing in clinical and counseling psychology. Following this, she pursued her Master’s degree in Social Work at Rutgers University, with an emphasis on Clinical Social Work. Throughout her career, Madelyn has gained valuable experience in various settings, including Positive Pathways Counseling within the Morris School District, Jersey Battered Women Services, and the Morris Family Justice Center. These roles have allowed her to develop a deep understanding of trauma-informed care, case management, and providing psycho-emotional support to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
